Kevin Bash has studied Aikido since 1980. Until 1995, he studied exclusively under Pablo Vasquez Sensei at the well-known West Los Angeles Aikido Institute, considered by many to be one of the finest Aikido schools in the United States. He has also studied extensively the Aikido of Chiba Shihan, Shibata Shihan and others.
   While at West Los Angeles, Sensei Bash studied weapons (Jo, Bokken and sword) and attained the rank of third degree black belt in Aikido. He began teaching at West Los Angeles in 1990. Since then he has continued to teach privately, has founded and run the Children’s Aikido program within the Los Angeles Unified School District, and has taught numerous classes and seminars at universities and colleges. He has also instructed several law enforcement agencies and the military. Currently, he is an instructor of Aikido and weapons at the University of California, Riverside.
