Some Birankai North America dojos have established kenshusei programs to train new generations of Aikido teachers. Kenshusei generally have minimum training and/or teaching requirements and are also responsible for dojo management. The length of the program varies by dojos and individuals. An individual graduates from the kenshusei program by taking a fukushidoin (certified assistant instructor) or shidoin (certified instructor) test. kensushei.gif
